太空人訓練

經由太空人訓練課程釋放學員們的熱情:5D自由太空椅(用於雙子星及阿波羅計畫)、載人機動裝置(讓太空人進行無拘束的艙外活動)、1/6重力椅(模擬月球漫步)、多軸訓練器(模擬回到地球大氣層時方向感的迷失)。獨一無二又充滿活力的課程將激發學員的求知欲和探索STEAM領域的熱情。

震撼人心的參訪場所

透過休士頓太空中心、美國太空火箭中心、萊斯大學及其它教育機構的場景,CASE初階太空學校提供一個鼓勵並啟發學員正向學習的環境。

學員有這麼難得的機會,參訪多個休士頓聞名的地點,這是身處在台灣一般學習環境下所無法想像的。

一個難忘的體驗正等待所有CASE初階太空學校的學員。NASA頂尖的太空人、科學家、工程師和CASE特別顧問Nicole Stott,將在午餐或晚宴上與學員分享他們獨特又精彩的人生經歷。

CASE 初階太空學校

課程行程
第1天

CASE初階太空學校即將出團!學員離開台灣前往德州休士頓,飛行時間約為15小時。抵達休士頓後,學員會先前往飯店辦理入住手續。第一晚會請學員盡早就寢,為隔天的豐富課程做準備。

第2天

第二天上午會正式舉辦CASE太空學校開幕典禮,其中會介紹高效青少年的七大習慣以及後續將體驗的團隊凝聚活動。在下午,學員會到萊斯大學參訪,包括甘迺迪總統發表登月演講的地點。在晚上的電影之夜裡,學員會一同觀賞「Space Race」電影學習太空探索的歷史。

第3天
學員透過mPOWER能量區,表達區以及七大習慣的說明,為每天的活動先建立正向的思維。學員會前往細胞實驗室進行具有挑戰性的DNA提取,學習生命的基本構件和細胞在不同染劑下所展現的物理及化學反應。傍晚,會在休斯頓購物中心享受休閒購物。

第4天

在上午的活動之後,學員會參觀詹森太空中心內龐大的設施,包含星艦美術館、阿波羅計畫控制中心、神農五號火箭等各種展覽。到晚上,學員會享有特別的體驗。NASA科學家或工程師會分享他們過往的經驗,並提供學員充分問答交流的時間。

第5天

第五天的早晨活動重點會放在七大習慣,學員將分組進行簡報並分享七大習慣在生活中的應用。接著,學習人體生物科學並挑戰製作屬於自己的太空手套。稍晚,學員將體驗令人興奮的NBA或是MLB比賽。

第6天

早晨的定期活動結束後,學員會回到詹森太空中心參觀太空人訓練中心和NASA的外太空學院。晚宴上,會邀請CASE特別顧問Nicole Stott一同參與。Nicole是前NASA太空人,每年與學員分享的經驗都非常鼓舞人心,Nicole同時也是第一位在外太空作畫的女太空人。

第7天

再會了!休士頓。前往漢斯威爾市。下一個目的地是美國太空與火箭中心(USSRC)。學員會先辦理報到登記,與他們的培訓員見面,並參觀USSRC的設施。

第8天

早餐後,學員會直接進行USSRC的太空人培訓。他們會了解水星計畫、雙子星計畫與阿波羅計畫、設計團隊徽章和即將參與的太空任務。有趣的戶外活動將會是他們的下一個挑戰:Area 51團隊活動和領導力的培訓課程會擴展學員的批判性思考和問題解決能力。當天晚上,學員會開始接觸後續要自製火箭的活動內容。

第9天

結束火箭公園參訪後,學員會執行屬於他們的阿波羅任務。每位學員將在模擬太空任務中擔任不同機組人員角色來進行團隊合作,並且會透過火箭發射模擬器來體驗離開地球引力的感受。學員也會進行室內攀岩來模擬攀爬火星最高峰:22公里高的奧林匹斯山。

第10天

學員為了明天的發射活動,將研發製作他們的火箭,神農五號的結構設計也將被導入在火箭的設計中。當天會前往USSRC室內游泳池進行浮力環境體驗,隨後也會有機會操作多軸訓練器,模擬太空人重新進入地球大氣層時迷失方向的感覺。

第11天

今天,學員會簡報他們的Bravo太空任務,從中展現數天下來所吸收的知識、協作能力與領導力。下午對他們的火箭設計進行改善、測試並實際發射。學員會操作載人機動裝置來模擬無重力環境下的感覺,也會使用1/6重力椅來熟練月球漫步。

第12天

在旅程的最後一天,學員會參加正式的畢業典禮,並獲得CASE太空學校和USSRC畢業證書。結業後,學員會離開USSRC並前往機場回國。

第13-14天

任務大功告成!經過大約15小時的飛行,學員有充足的時間反思兩週來的經歷。抵達台灣後,將在機場舉行簡短的閉幕活動。
